Equipments

Following equipments are generally available at BL4U. If you need something which is not on the following list, contact the beamline person (ohigashi(a)ims.ac.jp).
Our facility has an ultra-microtome (Laica) but there may be not enough time for us to support to use it. Please contact the beamiline person before your machine time begins.

Sample plates and cases		If you make the sample plate by yourself, also see this (PDF/DXF).
Tweezers		Tweezers Knife Needles Your own tools may be better.
Silicon nitride membrane		Membrane size: 0.5x0.5 mm Membrane thickness: 100 nm Frame size: 5x5 mm Frame thickness: 200 micron
Copper grids		#200 Copper grid #150 Copper grid with carbon microgrid support
Optical microscope		Transmission/Reflection mode. x5~x100 objective lens. Long working distance is also avaialble. Dark field is available but phase contrast imaging is not available. You can take images with an USB camera.
Stereomicroscope		Transmission/Reflection mode.
Desiccator		with Dehumidification unit.
Glove box		Glove box
Tapes		Scotch tape Mending tape Double-faced tape with weak sticking Double-faced carbontape.
Rubber gloves		Nitrile Gloves
Parafilm		Parafilm
Aluminum foil		Aluminum foil
Wiper		Paper wiper
Micro pipette		Micro pipette (~10 ul)
Mortar		Agate mortar & Muddler
Solvents	Ethanol Aceton Pure water	If you bring some chemical stuff into UVSOR, submittion of an application form of chemicals is required.
